Commonwealth Fire Protection has a history of helping it's own. This holiday season is no different... and one of our own, needs our support.
UPDATE: On Christmas Eve, I (Sue Spitzer) gave Dawn the generous gift from my CFPC family. As you can see the thoughts, prayers and love are deeply appreciated.
I personally thank you from the bottom of our hearts for giving us your support in this journey - Sue Spitzer; CFPC Receptionist+
---------- Original Post Below ------------
Hi Everyone,
My niece Dawn has been fighting Waldenstrom Syndrome (a combination of Leukemia and Lymphoma) for a little over a year. This is a type of cancer which has no known cure and is very debilitating. She has undergone chemo to try to stabilize the growth; however, It has not been successful. She has recently been classed as stage 4 and is working with palliative and hospice care.
Unfortunately, after 14 years at Cabelas in Hamburg, she was no longer able to go back to work and is currently having to pay for Cobra insurance and medical bills on her own. Needless to say savings do not last very long.
I know this is a very difficult time for me to be asking for donations and prayers, but I feel like it may also be the best time ! I love her very much and want to be able to ease some of her pain.
If you would like to make a contribution, please feel free to contact Sue Spitzer (Receptionist) or Logan Warner (HR Director).
Thank you so much, Susan Spitzer
