whatever you can do to prepare for being stuck in the cold, Do It.

N.O.A.A./Wind Chill Chart - https://www.weather.gov/safety/cold-wind-chill-chart

As far as our work goes...

We manage and manipulate water - That's what we do.

Water freezes at cold temperatures (@32 F)

  • Make sure your water discharge hose is long enough to reach grass.
  • Do not discharge any water across active parking lots.
  • Check the end of your discharge line for obstructions or diversions.
  • Have some salt in your truck to use if you spill water outside in the cold.
  • Check you tire pressure, it goes down when it's cold, and up when it's hot.
  • Have a charged cell phone, a USB battery back-up charger, and the charger itself.
  • Double-check you have a scraper and brush in your vehicle.
  • Smacking your fingers/hands in the cold hurts a lot, gloves provide padding.
  • Skin dries out in cold weather, use lotion/moisturizer to keep your skin flexible and protected.
  • Slow down on your way to and from locations.
  • Expect delays.
  • Get there safe.  Get home safe.
