Update on PIPES! This is exciting news for those who are already taking advantage of our PIPES Program! For those not so interested, please give it a shot. You will be better for it, and who knows, you might enjoy it. Plus, it will lead to cool stuff!
For all who were employed at the beginning of this year, you were notified of our Education and Training Committees progress on our PIPES program. We have been diligently working to implement additional educational and training opportunities. Administratively, we have implemented a workflow process into our new PayTime payroll system to track individual employees’ progress with training and education. This is a huge accomplishment because completing training and tracking this data will assist all employees involved in the AFSA Apprenticeship program and NICET, obtain their certification requirements. Expect additional updates and changes as we continually work to improve PIPES!
Other PIPES news and updates:
- In 2023, we had 65% of our employee’s take part in the SUCCEED training w/ 1100 training classes taken!

- The Safety Committee will now be using PIPES as the tracking method for their year-end PRIZE Bonanza at the annual Christmas party. Expect a larger budget and lots of AWESOME prizes. The more you take part in PIPES, the more cool stuff you can be awarded!

- We are developing a video series of short, 1 – 2-minute videos sent out on our company App to provide insight into Safety, home finance, ESOP news, Wellness information and technical trade updates.
- AFSA Apprentice Hands-on training / testing day is being scheduled for June.
