Service/Inspection Bulletin - Tyco DPV-1 clogged internal alarm line port

If you run into an issue where a Tyco DPV-1 trips and does not send an alarm, check the 3/4" alarm line coming out the back of the DPV-1 by breaking the unions and removing the nipple.  There is (2) small holes machined into the housing of the DPV-1 port that easily get clogged and will not allow water to flow to the pressure switch, thus not sending a signal when the valve trips.  Clean & flush the ports, problem solved.
