The cold weather is just settling in... more is coming throughout this next week or so.
~ Be Prepared ~
Stay Informed.
Call your Shop Manager and request cold weather gloves.
Bring, wear, your cold weather working gear.
Prep your vehicles with: brushes, salt, and a shovel.
Prep yourselves with: rest, food/water, layers of warm clothes.
Have on hand: xtra clothes, change of foot/hand wear, and blankets.
Dehydration in the Winter is just as critical as in the Summer.
Take breaks early and often.
Stay in touch.
Tell your Foreman if you feel dizzy, if your fingers or toes are frozen, or if you walk off the jobsite or go to your vehicle to warm up.
...if you ARE the Foreman, tell yourself and your team, you're going to go take a break.
